The paper tag of hat No. 117 of 200, 2026, Night, tied on with red thread.

No. 117 of 200

Every hat is numbered and dated on a paper tag, tied on with red thread. The tag says which colourway it is, too.

The number is also knitted into the inside of the brim, so it stays with the hat long after the tag is lost.

We never make number 201.

Looking after it

Wool asks for very little. Mostly, to be left alone.

Air it

Hang it outside on a dry day. Wool cleans itself in fresh air.

Wash it rarely

By hand, in cold water with wool soap. Dry it flat, away from the stove.

Trust the lanolin

The wool keeps its own grease, so dirt and rain run off. That is also the smell.

The waiting list

Write to us with your name, your country, and Night or Day. We reply with your place on the list.

In late October the first 200 on the list get an invoice. Everyone else keeps their place for next year.

Or write to [email protected], subject “Waiting list”.
